What do I need to do and to know about Ramadan?
Brothers and Sisters, what are things that I have to do this coming Ramadan? Will it start on September 1 and end on the 30th? What time does the fast start and what time does it end?

Assalaamu alaikum warahmatullaah,
We can only assume that it starts on September 1 and ends in the 30th but we won't know until the day comes 'cause we base on the sighting of the moon. So Inshaa'Allaah, we shall wait until the Mufti's tells us when and Inshaa'Allaah I'll post it here.
We have this thing called "Sahoor" or "Suhoor" where we eat before sunrise, around 3AM para di tayo magutom then once the Fajr prayer is called you have to stop eating and drinking and other things that which will invalidate our fast (please refer to the link below)

Then we start eating again once the Maghrib or sunset prayer is called. Then after Isha prayer, we pray the "Taraweeh" but this is not required although most perform it. It's a lengthy prayer compared to the daily ones. To know more about Taraweeh, please visit http://islamqa.com/en/search/taraweeh/AllWords/t,q,a
